My Background

I am Kathy Bennett, the Company Director at Caring: Be the Difference. I have been a registered nurse for 25 years. Over the years I have nursed adults on wards at Burnley General Hospital, Royal Blackburn Hospital and two care homes. I found the job very rewarding, especially when I could see the difference I made to the patients' and their families' lives. I qualified as a teacher in 2006 and worked at Burnley College for 4 years. There I taught health and social care to 14-16 year olds at GCSE and to 16-18 year olds at level 3. Some of the subjects I taught were effective communication, anatomy and physiology. The students I taught all achieved grades of pass or above. I am now both an approved centre and registered trainer with Association of Healthcare Trainers and Protrainings UK.
